THE SMOKING PATIO IS COMPLETED!!!

Ever since the smoking ban went into effect, in September 2008, we knew we had to do something. One of Rico's concerns was that a lot of our guests were being forced to choose between their desire to smoke and their preferences to dine at Rico's. Because the new law did not permit us to allow smoking indoors, it became a priority for us to satisfy those guests that wanted to smoke.

During the winter months we made plans; we worked with architect Ralph Murovich and we were ready to start by mid April of 2009. The projected completion date was June 1st. With the addition of the patio, we felt we could offer an extra enjoyable experience to our guests that prefer to smoke.

We need to say thank you to all of you that put up with the day to day inconveniences of the construction. Some of you may already know it, but the long delay was due to the fact that the contractor had to be replaced. In mid August he was not even close to completing the job! It is the end of September and finally it is done.

Everyone is welcome to visit us! Many people have commented that the patio is a welcome addition; it blends very well with the rest of the building. The driveway has been enlarged so that traffic will flow in and out much smoother.
